About Harlan
Harlan began formal study in piano at age six with Grace Cheng. After coming to SFCM Pre-College, he studied with
Dr. William Wellborn as the youngest in his studio.
Currently he is studying with John McCarthy.
Harlan has been studying composition since he was ten years old with Arkadi Serper. He has also had the opportunity to study under Dr. Mauricio Rodriguez and Lukas Janata.
Harlan studied conducting at SFCM Pre-College with Matthew Cmiel, and has been the Conductor-In-Residence at a local Community Youth Orchestra for the last two years.
Harlan enjoys playing chamber music and ice hockey. He is a ninth grader at Stanford Online High School.
